7 steps to heavenly hair

January 15, 2008
  1. Do your homework: if you see a style you want, cut it out of a magazine or bring in a photo of it. Go online and read our stylists’ bios to see who would suit your new look best.
  2. Start from scratch: maybe you have been getting the same look for more than a year– it might be fun to start over and get something fresh and new!
  3. Get wiggy with it: if you are thinking of a new color overhaul, go to a wig store and try your new color on to make sure it looks good with your skin.
  4. Honesty is the best policy: come dressed as you usually would– your personal style is what helps our stylists determine a good look for YOU! Rather than going for the business look, you might look like you need some flash with Peek a boo color.
  5. Face facts: most people think they have round faces when in fact, if you cup your hands over your face, you will see how slender it really is. This illusion comes from your hair style. Accentuate your best feature next time you come in by highlighting your eyes, elongating your face, or dramatizing your look.
  6. Rate your fate: It’s fun to play around with new looks, but always tell your stylist whether you want to change your look from a 1 to a 10. This can make a big difference in your overall happiness with your hair’s final look.
  7. It’s good to talk: one person’s curly could be another person’s wavy, one person’s platinum blond is another’s bleached out– know the lingo and talk it up with your stylist about exactly what you want and what your expectations are.
